Think you might be pregnant?

Lifeline provides free lab-certified pregnancy tests. These tests verify that someone is pregnant by identifying the hCG pregnancy hormone in urine. They can detect this hormone as early as 21 to 24 days after the first day of your last period (7 days after conception). The test is over 99% accurate. When you schedule a pregnancy test at Lifeline, a Registered Nurse on staff will perform the test. You will have the results during your appointment. You are welcome to bring someone with you or to come on your own.

How do I prepare for a pregnancy test?

  • Call Lifeline or make an appointment online to schedule your test
  • Bring a photo ID with you
  • Estimate the first day of your last menstrual period
  • Come with a full bladder

What next?

With the results of your test, positive or negative, our nurse can provide you with information about what comes next.

With a positive pregnancy test, you will get information about prenatal nutrition, community services, local OB doctors, etc. You will also get a starter pack of prenatal vitamins. We may be able to perform a limited obstetrical ultrasound to give you even more information about your pregnancy. If you have a positive pregnancy test in our clinic, Lifeline is also able to provide a letter that verifies pregnancy.  This free documentation can be used to apply for state health insurance and other services.

With a negative pregnancy test, you will receive information about next steps. You do have the option to retest at a later date if necessary.
